Award Header 2If you could mash up any two characters and throw them together, who would it be? And which world would they be in?

Ugh this is a tough one… I assume you mean any two characters from different novels? You know, I’m gonna cheat this one by saying Imma match up Rhys with myself 😊 and we’ll exist in this modern reality.

Favorite supporting character deserving of spin-off?

This question is right up my alley because I have a habit of falling in love with random side characters! (It’s a rough life). I want a spin off with any of the side characters from the Shades of Magic series. Rhy, Alucard, and Holland are all amazing characters that I’d love to see lead their own stories.

What’s a story you would like a retelling of? And by which author?

I don’t know if this counts, but I’d like to see more historical fiction in YA. I want to see more diversity in historical fiction. I see a lot of 1920-50s stories but WHERE ARE MY STORIES ABOUT THE DEFINISTRATION OF PRAGUE?! (But really) I just want stories from a lot different time periods and preferably not just the popular topics that come up in world history classes. (PS If you know any super amazing historical fiction, do tell me! I really like the genre)

How are your bookshelves organized?

I am a weird child who organizes her bookshelf by height. I just can’t stand to have books not match up in their height. I hate when I have lots of books all of the same height interrupted by one that’s THE SIZE OF THE EFFIEL TOWER. This can be unfortunate when I end up with half a series in paperback and the other half in hardback, but this is why I try to get all books in a series in the same format.

I love the look of when people organize by color, but gosh this just worries me because what if that ends up breaking up my favorite series…? Dear people who organize by color, HOW DO YOU DO IT?!

Do you read with the dust jacket on or off?

What is your favorite season

I spend my free time watching Netflix when I should be reading and writing. Then I go online and blog about books and TV shows!

  1. I organize my books my height, too! I mean there are a lot of other factors involved as well but height definitely plays a role! As for historical fiction recommendations, have you read Code Name Verity? It takes place during WWII but it is one of my favorite books ever! I also really enjoyed Vengeance Road and And I Darken.
